Funeral services of A. J.
Smitherman took place yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Rosenthal,
where the body was taken in the motor hearse of F. M. Compton. Services
were conducted at the Rosenthal church with Rev. Mr. Moore officiating.
Mr. Smitherman died Sunday at Burkburnett. He formerly was a resident of Waco, but left here several years ago, R. L. and Dewey Smitherman, two sons, reside in Waco. He is survived by his wife, three sons, two daughters and one brother.
