Anna T. Smitherman, 87, passed
away October 10, 2007. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday,
Oct. 15, at Muehlebach Funeral Home, 6800 Troost Ave., KCMO where the
rosary will be at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m.
Tuesday, at St. Sabina Parish, 700 Trevis, Belton, Mo. Interment at Mt.
Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's
Association. Anna was born Jan. 29, 1920, in Kansas City, to John J.
and Mary Ann O'Brien. She retired from the Bendix Corporation. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Cletis N. Smitherman; brother, John
O'Brien; and a sister, Katherine Durr. She is survived by her son, Rex
Smitherman and wife Sherry; step- daughter, Brenda Opsal Nelson;
grandchildren, Christopher, Alexander, Kim, Mike and Doug.
