NORTH AUGUSTA — A memorial mass for Mrs. Annice Jeannene Smitherman will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Father C. Alexander McDonald will officiate. Mrs. Smitherman, 68, died Sept. 20,1999. A native of Augusta and a former resident of Norway, S.C., she resided in North Augusta. She was a communicant of the Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, Owen C. Smitherman; four daughters, Victoria Marie
Youmans, Barnwell, Theresa Ann Myers, Savannah, Carol Jeannene Powers, Augusta, and Nancy Suzanne McTier, North Augusta; four brothers, William B. Arnold Jr., Anaheim, Calif., Sandy M. Arnold, Venice, Calif., Benjamin P. Arnold, Augustai;and Carl M. Arnold,: Charlotte,; and -seven grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the residence of Carol Powers, 2008 Briar Court, Augusta, following the service. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph's Hospice, 2260 Wrightsboro Road, Augusta, Ga. 30904. Stephen D. Posey Funeral Home, North Augusta, is in charge of arrangements.
