Annie Doris Smitherman
passed from this life on July 21, 2007 after a lengthy illness.
She was born May 8, 1921 in Randolph, Alabama.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pauline and Johnny Lowery; sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Carol Smitherman, Danny and Linda Smitherman, Tommy and Alice Smitherman, Johnny and Kathy Smitherman, Mark and Darlene Smitherman, Timothy and Jane Smitherman; 27 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Her sister, Ella Wilkinson and brother, Lenord Smitherman, also survive her.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lafayette Smitherman, son, Monroe Smitherman; daughter, Lillian Smitherman; parents, Sim and Gracie Smitherman; sisters, Dessie Langston and Daisy Clark; brothers, S. T., Eugene, and Reid Smitherman.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 25, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel.
