Our community was saddened last
Friday to learn of the death of Mrs. Annie Mae Jackson, 94, who died in
a Waco hospital. She had been residing in Forest Oaks Nursing Home in
Hamilton until she became very ill and was taken to Waco to be near her
daughter Madeline Burt where she died on Friday.
Graveside services were held at the Gentrys Mill Cemetery at 2 p.m. on Sunday with Rev. LaVelle Haynes officiating.
Mrs. Jackson was a native of the Lamkin Community and was active in many areas of early day activities in the Lamkin Community throughout her life.
She is survived by a daughter, Madeline Burt of Waco; a son, Clyde Jackson of Dripping Springs; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews and many many friends.
