DOBSON - Mrs. Betty Griffin Collins, 64, of West Atkins St. died Sunday, Oct. 8, 1995, following an extended illness.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dobson First Baptist Church with burial in the Ellisboro Baptist Church Cemetery in Madison. Her body will remain at Davis & Son Funeral Home in Dobson until carried to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.

She was born in Rockingham County on February 24, 1931 to the late Arthur Benton and Bessie Frances Clark Griffin, was a retired Beautician, and a member of the Dobson First Baptist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Clarence H. Collins of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Mrs. Connie and Kimber Smitherman of Dobson, Deborah Collins of North Wilkesboro; son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Geri Collins of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Harry Benton Griffin, Ernest Lee Griffin, both of Mayodan, Michael Leon Griffin of Madison; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many loving friends.

The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. tonight at Davis & Son Funeral Home.
