Arrangements are by Downs Funeral Home. Mr. Smitherman died May 30,
2008, at his residence.
Born August 25, 1944, in Marshall, he was a longtime clay manufacturing supervisor for Marshall Pottery and Casey Pottery employee. Survivors include his wife, Anita K. Kimble Smitherman; son, Daniel J. Smitherman; and brother, Robert Ellis Smitherman. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
