Funeral services will be Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Selma Funeral Home at with Tom McLemore officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Selma Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 6-8:00 p.m.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arch and Betsy Campbell, wife, Florence I. Crawford Campbell; brothers, Cecil Campbell, George Campbell, Alec Campbell, Donald Campbell, Lloyd Campbell and Robert Campbell; sisters, Sarah Strickland and Delois Brown; three grandsons, Willis Scurlock, Jr., Matt Smitherman and Joshua Campbell and one great-granddaughter, Courtney Thrasher.
He is survived by his children, Debra E. (Ronnie) Smitherman, Linda (Glen) Moore, Brenda (Willis) Scurlock, Buford I. (Melissa) Campbell, Jr. and Roger (Tammy) Campbell; sisters, Furniss Godwin and Doris McCracken; special friend, Elizabeth Kilgore; eleven grandchildren, Paul (Alicia) Smitherman, Stephen (Jennifer) Smitherman, Christy Anderson, Kimberly (Daniel) Thrasher, Jeremy (Bambie) Arnold, Nicholas Campbell all of Selma, AL, Eric (Allison) Moore of Opelika, Cindy (Steve) Chester, Brian (Dalana) Moore, both of Birmingham, Chris (Elizabeth) Walker and Melanie (Benny) Burdick both of Decatur, AL and seventeen great-grandchildren, Taylor Smitherman, Tori Smitherman, Haley Smitherman, Amy Lee Smitherman, Megan Smitherman, Kloie Smitherman, Bubba Smitherman, Brittnie Quigley, Patrick Thrasher all of Selma, AL, Margaret Chester, Claire Chester, Crawford Chester, Mallory Moore, Madeline Moore, Tyler Moore all of Birmingham, Avery Moore, Alex Moore, both of Opelika and McKenna Burdick of Decatur, AL.
