clyde Lynn smitherman
Clyde was
born September 17, 1928 in Union, Iowa. He was the son of
Brad and Malo Smitherman. Clyde was raised and educated in Union where
he graduated from the Union High School. He farmed in the New
Providence, Iowa area for several years and was also employed by Fisher
Controls in Marshalltown for over thirty years. When Clyde had spare
time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and trips to the casino. He was a
member of the U.A.W. Local 893.
Clyde is survived by his three sons Steve Smitherman of Story City, Iowa, Gregg Smitherman of Minnesota and Lynn Smitherman of Colorado Springs, Colorado, his daughter Donna (Don) Lou of Alabama, his two brothers David Smitherman of Des Moines, and Joe Smitherman of Union, his sister Phyllis Harris of Southern Iowa and his nine grandchildren.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents Brad & Malo, his son Mark and his sister Sandy.
