Cora “Louise” Smitherman, age
81, of Tuscumbia, died Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Visitation will be
Saturday, February 2, 2013, 6-8 at Morrison Funeral Home of Tuscumbia.
Her funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel
with David McKelvey officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Flat
Cemetery, Killen, AL.
Mrs. Smitherman was a lifelong resident of Tuscumbia. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Turner Smitherman.
She is survived by her son, William Randall “Randy” Smitherman of Sheffield; daughters, Nancy Smitherman Steele of Stevenson, AL, Kathy Smitherman of Birmingham, Cherie Smitherman Horton of Killen, Melinda Smitherman Toepfer, of Muscle Shoals and Donna Smitherman Watkins of Cherokee; Brothers, Charles Condra of Christiana, TN, Kenneth Condra of Bridgeport; sisters, Ann White of Lenoir City, TN, Dulcena “Nell” Richardson also Bridgeport, AL; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are, Tyler Toepfer, Will Horton, Andrew Watkins, Brandon Watkins, Davey Smitherman, James Mason, Fred Little, Garrett Little, and Abram Little.
