Mrs. Cora Lee Hauser, wife of Wallace Hauser of Giulman, died suddenly Wednesday noon at a local hospital, a few hours after admittance.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Gillman Community church with the Rev. Wendall Henline of Toledo officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Memorial Garden cemetery at Marshalltown.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home until 10 a.m. Saturday and thereafter at the Gilman Community church.

She was the daughter of Alvis and Elizabeth Grace Nicholson Smitherman, and was born on June 6, 1890, at Flint Hill, N. C. She recieved her education in the schools of Flint Hill, and later on Oct. 19, 1914, she was united in marriage with Wallace Olin Hauser, near East Bend, North Carolina.

To this union were born six children: Mrs. Paul (Mary) Miller of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Kenneth (Grace) Strand of Adel, Iowa; Thomas, who passed away in 1940; George of Malcom; Lee of Gilman; and Mrs. Gerald (Joanne) Hemphill of North Liberty, Iowa.

In addition to her five surviving children, Mrs. Hauser is survived by her husband Wallace at home in Gilman, 15 grandchildren, and three brothers and two sisters who reside in North Carolina; Dault, John and Frank Smitherman; Mrs. Frank (Nell) Myers and Maude Smitherman.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son (Thomas) two half- brothers, and one half-sister. Mrs. Hauser moved to the Gilman area with her husband in 1917 where the family has made their home.
