for Danny Joe Smitherman, 63, of Longview will be held at 10 a.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Longview with
the Rev. Ronnie Watson officiating. Mr. Smitherman died Monday morning,
Dec. 13, 2004, at a local hospital. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today, Dec.
14, at the funeral home.
Danny Joe Smitherman was born Nov. 4, 1941, in Marshall to D.A. and Ruby Smitherman. He graduated from Hallsville High School in 1960. He had lived in the Longview area all of his life and was a member of Mobberly Baptist Church. He proudly served his country and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force. He also owned and operated Smitherman Machine for a number of years.
He was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Tabitha Smitherman of Longview; his mother, Ruby Smitherman of Longview; three brothers, Michael Smitherman of Longview, Claude and wife Ruby Jo Smitherman of Longview and Clyde and wife Mary Smitherman of West Monroe, La.; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
