E C SMITHERMAN born 8 September
1944 in Chilton County, Alabama to Nolen Floyd Smitherman and Evie M
Braswell Smitherman, he departed this life 20 July 1963. E C was 18
years old and was a former athlete at Jemison High School. He was
killed in Calera, Al. Shelby County, by a drunk driver. E C was buried
at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church #1 Cemetery in Chilton Co., AL. He is
survived by both sets of Grandparents: Herbie C and Mary Ann Childress
Smitherman both of Peterson, Al., and Elzie and Marge Brown Braswell
both of Pelham, Al., his parents both of Jemison, Al., one brother
Floyd Lee Smitherman, two sisters: Brenda Gale Smitherman, and Margie
Nell Smitherman, all of Jemison, Al.
