Norman Smitherman, 68, Tyler, were held July 19, 2003, at Memorial Park
Cemetery, Tyler, with the Rev. David Sheppard officiating under the
direction of Memorial Funeral Home, Tyler.
Smitherman was born June 10, 1935, in Gladewater and died July 16, 2003, in Tyler. He was preceded in death by son, Robert Burton Smitherman.
He served in the Air Force, was a hospital administrator and a Baptist.
Survivors include his daughters, Melissa Skierski, Kemp; and Susan Smitherman, Tyler; and two grandsons.
