Rev. Elbert Stewart, 54, 5674 Elmer St., Detroit, Mich., died in Veterans's Hospital, Decatur, Ga., Thursday at 5:55 p.m.
He was born in Cave City, Ark., a son of Thomas and Tibitha (Mobley) Stewart.
He was an evangelistic minister for the Fellowship Holiness Church.
Survivors include his wife, Helen Smitherman Stewart; a son, Ricky Stewart, Detroit; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Henley, Detroit; a brother, Raymond Stewart, Naples, Fla.; three sisters, Beulah Tilly, Beede, Ark., Martha Casey, Jonesboro, Ark., and Allen Young, Meadville, Pa.; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at the Pentecostal Highway of Holiness Church, 3470 Hamilton-Middletown Road, Monday at 2 p.m., with burial in Rosehill Burial Park. Visitation will be at the church all day Sunday and until time of services Monday.
