Elvin Ernest SMITHERMAN, 84, of Clanton died Sunday, December 13, 2009 at Chilton Medical Center, Clanton.

He was born on Monday, February 23, 1925 in Bibb Co., Alabama, Son of the late Alford Smitherman and the late Bertha Chism Smitherman.

He was a Supervisor.

Surviving are his Wife, Mrs. Virginia Smitherman of Clanton, AL; Brother, Mr. Doyle J. Smitherman; Godson, Mr. Matt Moore of Clanton, AL; Nieces & Nephews.

Friends will be received from 4:30-7:30pm Monday, December 14, 2009 @ Martin Funeral Home.

Services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2009, at 1:00PM. at Martin Funeral Home with Rev. Jesse Wood officiating.

Interment will follow in Liberty Hill Baptist Cemetery, Clanton, AL.
