Etha R (Reta) Legrone Smitherman, age 78, of Valley Grande, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018.Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2018, at Northside Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Blake officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home directing. Burial will follow at Pineview Memory Gardens. Visitation will begin at 10:00 Tuesday at the church.
She is preceded by her parents, 2 brothers, and 5 sisters.
Reta is survived by her husband of 47 years: Purvis Smitherman; daughter: Darla Smith; sons: Robert (Dara) Smitherman, Thomas (Candice) Smitherman; grandchildren: Justin McDonald, Josh McDonald, Lauren Smitherman, Ansley Smitherman, Katie Smitherman, Sean Smitherman, Sean Barrett, Taran Barrett, 2 sisters: Catherine McKee, Myrna Lastinger, 4 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be: David Jones, Joseph Jones, Ray Smitherman, Donald Chandler, Randy Smitherman, and Sean Barrett.
