Mrs. Fannie Craven Smitherman, 93, of 4811 Groometown Road died Friday, July 28, 1995, at her residence.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, with interment in Guilford Memorial Park.

Mrs. Smitherman was a member of College Place United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Smitherman and her son, John B. Smitherman.

Survivors include her daughter, Dorothy East of the home; grandchildren, Linda Shelton, Johnny East, Billy East and Ricky Smitherman, all of Greensboro; and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
