A Mooreseville resident of more than 75 years, Frank Joyner, 84, of 601 Indianapolis Road, died yesterday afternoon in the Winona Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis after an illness of one month.

Mr Joyner was born in North Carolina to David and Rhoda Hutchins Joyner July 25, 1884.  He married the former Maggie Smitherman Sept 21, 1908.

Besides the widow, two sons, John and David of Mooresville, and three daughters, Mrs. Eileen Altman and Mrs. Betty Kays of Mooresville and Mrs. Kathryn Carr of Edinburg, survive.  Other survivors include a sister, Mrs. Dollie Hadley of Mooresville, 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Mr Joyner was a member of the Mooresville Friends Church.

Funersal services will be held at the Carlisle and Son Chapel Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev Russell Rees officiation.  Burial will take place in the Mooresville Cemetery.
