SILOAM - Glenn Ray "Bill" Wall, 68, of Siloam went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2007, at his home. He was born in Surry County on May 16, 1939, to the late Charlie Elmer and Annie Mae Mayes Wall. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather and a great friend to all who knew him. He retired from R.J. Reynolds doing heating and air. Preceding him in death were his parents; and first wife, Glenda Gay Smitherman Wall. He is survived by his wife, Sue Wolfe Wall; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Jimmy Sechrist of Siloam, Kimberly and Timothy Hall of Pilot Mountain; three brothers, Bobby and Margaret Wall of Westfield, Edgar and Annie Lee Wall of Siloam, Dwight Holder of Siloam; two sisters, Joyce Burchette of Advance and Jackie and Al March of Siloam; and three grandchildren, Andrew Hall, Courtney Hall and Meghan Sechrist. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at Level Cross United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rickey Spencer and Pastor Lem Sprinkle officiating. Burial will follow at Old Siloam Friends Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Dec. 15, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain and other times at the residence, 154 Hardy Road.
