ida ross (hutchens) lawson
EAST BEND -
Mrs. Ida Ross Hutchens Lawson, 75, of 7521 Hwy. 67 died
Saturday, April 14, 2001, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
She was
born in Yadkin County on Feb. 23, 1926, to Evan and Sara Elizabeth
Smitherman Hutchens. Mrs. Lawson was a member of Forbush Friends
Meeting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lawson, and a brother,
Ralph
Hutchens. Surviving are her daughter Nancy I. Williams of
Winston-Salem; two
stepsons, Michael Lawson of East Bend and Jerry Lawson of Charlotte;
one
stepdaughter, Lisa Lawson of East Bend; three sisters, Betty (E.V.)
Wooten of
East Bend, Dot Crews of Boonville and Nell (William) Bryant of
Yadkinville; one
brother, Reynolds Hutchens of East Bend; one granddaughter, Diane
(Greg)
Asbelle; three stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2001, at Forbush
Friends
Meeting by the Rev. Jake Penley. The body will lie in state 10:30-11
a.m.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive
friends 7-9
p.m. Monday at Huff Funeral Home in East Bend.
