K. Smitherman, 83, of Flat Rock, Mich., formerly of Paragould, died
Tuesday at his residence. He was a World War II veteran. While in
Paragould, he attended the First Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Winona Smitherman; parents, Edwin and Bessie Smitherman; and three sisters.
Survivors include daughters, Brenda Tobara and Beverly Smitherman; son, James E. Smitherman; grandchildren, Johnny and Jamey Branham; great-grandchild, Blake Branham; sister, Barbara Jean Fann.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Heath Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Heath Colonial Chapel with Rev. Paul Bean officiating. Burial will follow at the Leachville Cemetery.
