James Roland Ausborn, age
80, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at The Veteran's Hospital in Memphis,
TN. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM, Monday, July 27, 2009 at
Oddfellows Rest Cemetery with Reverend Todd Bowen officiating.
Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen will be in charge of the
services. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, July 26,
2009 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel. He was born October 31, 1928, to
Ledrew Ausborn and Agnes Smitherman Ausborn in
Aberdeen, MS. He was a life long resident of Aberdeen. He was a retired
cattle and soybean farmer. He was a veteran of the Korean War and
served in the Army Reserve and Army Transportation. He was also a
baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ledrew and Agnes Smitherman Ausborn; wife of 56 years, Patricia Murff Ausborn; a daughter, Patricia (Patti) Ausborn; a sister, Sara King; a brother, George Ausborn and a greatgrandchild, William Woodson Bales. Survivors include: two sons Howard Roland Ausborn and wife Marcy of Aberdeen, MS and James ChristopherAusborn and wife Pat of Aberdeen, MS; four sisters: Agnes Siegfred
of Reading, PA; Kay Butler of Atlanta, GA, Jimmie Nell Hill of
Aberdeen, MS and Virginia Key of Jacksonville, FL; one brother: Don Ausborn of Aberdeen, MS; three grandchildren: Patrick Bales (Amy) and Wyatt Ausborn both of Aberdeen, MS and Jamie Ausborn of
Nashville, TN and two greatgrandchildren: Thomas Lee Bales and Drew
Bales of Aberdeen, MS. Pallbearers will be Phil Young, Dale Ott, Chess
