VANCE - James Samuel "Sam"
Smitherman, age 76, of Vance, died at home and went to be with his Lord
on February 6, 2016. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February
13, 2016, at 11 a.m., at Evergreen Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nora Ray and Marvin; wife, Joyce; second wife, Mary; and siblings Loriane, Mary, Marvin, Bert and Jackie.
Survivors are his sisters, Anne Slaton and Pat Smitherman; brother, Bobby Smitherman (Mary); and many other relatives and wonderful friends.
If you met Sam, you had met a friend. He will be missed greatly.
