joan (hosmer) smitherman
Joan Hosmer Smitherman, age 80, of Hueytown, AL passed away Monday, April 4, 2016. She was a member of Hueytown Baptist Church and retired from the nursing profession.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lamar Smitherman and her daughter, Lori Killingsworth.
She is survived by her son, Lee (Krista) Smitherman; her daughters, Carol Smitherman and Beth (Wayne) McMurry; her grandchildren, Melisa (Timothy) Saccucci, Sharon (Mike) Edmondson, Chad (Hillary) Alexander and Brent Alexander; eight great grandchildren; her sister, Jane (Jimmy) Silvers; her sister-in-law, Betty Hosmer and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens. Rev. Melisa Saccucci will be officiating.
