Jodell R. "Yodi" Bryson, 46, LaPorte, died at 4 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 1,
2004) at her home. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Haverstock
Funeral Home, LaPorte, with the Rev. Mark Harris officiating. Cremation
will take place.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
She was born July 3, 1957, in Anderson, Ind., to Marvin and Nancy (Alford) Dadlow Smitherman. Her father survives in Cocoa Beach, Fla., and her mother survives in LaPorte.

Survivors also include one son, Joseph Wayne
Bryson, Anderson; her fiance, Patton Geren, LaPorte; three brothers,
Jeffrey (Judy) Smitherman and Troy N. Siebenhaar, both of LaPorte, and
Michael G. (Lisa) Smitherman, Dallas; three sisters, Teresa Agnew, New
Castle, Ind., Patricia Walker, Atlanta, and Jacqueline Goodson,
Florida; one stepsister, Jody Jimerson, Fish Lake; her stepfather,
Stuart Siebenhaar, LaPorte; and several nieces and nephews.
Ms. Bryson lived in the LaPorte area since 1983, coming from Anderson.
She worked as a laborer. Ms. Bryson was a good-hearted person and loved
singing.
