John Samuel Smitherman, 91, Lawton, Okla., formerly of Kansas City, died yesterday at a Lawton hospital.
He was born in Mount Leonard, Mo., and had lived here from 1900 to 1957. Mr. Smitherman was a retired maintenance superintendent for Duff & Repp.
He leaves a son, John L Smitherman, Maple Shade, N.J.; a daughter, Mrs. Lorena Kontz, Marshall, Mo.; a brother, Percy Smitherman, Baton Rouge, La.; a sister, Mrs. Iona Dyers, Marshall and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Floral Hills Chapel; burial in the Floral Hills Cemetery.
