The funeral for Johnny Franklin
Smitherman, 80, Route 1, Killen, will be at 2 p.m. today at Hickory
Flat Free Will Baptist Church with Lloyd Jones and H.C. Killen
officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, Loretto
Memorial Chapel directing.
He died Monday at Humana Hospital, Florence after an extended illness.
He was a retired maintenance employee at Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club.
The body will be placed in the church one hour before the service.
Survivors include daughters, Patricia Butrum, Sue LeMaster, both of Florence, Johnny Faye Vinson, Tuscumbia, Frankie Winsett, Indiana; sisters. Bessie Smitherman, Telia Smitherman, Lillie Smitherman, Tessie Smitherman, Mrs. Jessie McGee, all of Killen; brothers, Ben Smitherman, Henry Smitherman, both of Killen; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Gerald Smitherman, Loyce T. MItchell, Doyce Michael, David Hines, Steven Oliver, Crawford Dison.
