MSTR. JOSEPH DAWSON GARCIA, age
9 of Verbena, passed away on January 18, 2015 at Children’s Hospital in
Birmingham. He was born in Alabaster, AL on March 26, 2005; the son of
Pablo Garcia and Brandi Smitherman Garcia.
He was a loving child who attended Clanton Intermediate School.
He is survived by: Father, Pablo Garcia of Verbena; Mother, Brandi Smitherman Garcia of Verbena; Brother, Pablo Garcia, Jr. of Verbena; Sisters, Santana Garcia and Brandi Lexis Garcia of Verbena. Grandmother, Lori Hilyer of Clanton; Grandfather, Randel Headley of Atlanta; Grandmother, Jylia Romero of Clanton; and Grandfather, Rolando Romera of Mexico.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 5-8pm at Ellison Memorial Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.
Burial will follow in the New Harmony Holiness Church Cemetery in Clanton.
