ETHRIDGE, JUANITA "MEMAW" age
83, of Bessemer, AL, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012. Mrs.
Ethridge was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and a
member of the Women's Committee of Jefferson County Farmers Federation.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Neil Smitherman and Curt
Ethridge; her parents, Dollie Allen and Pearl Roland; her beloved
grandson, Ken Smitherman. She is survived by her son, Kenny (Sonya)
Smitherman; her daughter, Anita (Bill) Earley; her grandchildren, Neil
(Kelly) Sullivan, Staci (Mike) Bishop, Johnathon Green and Whitney
Green; her great grandchildren, Skylar Bishop and Faith Sullivan; her
brothers, Jack (Sheila) Allen and Paul (Ruby) Allen; her sisters, Ruth
(John) Prescott, Jean (Jimmy) Bearden and Eleanor "Sister" Goggins; a
host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends. Funeral services
will be held at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Monday, October
1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with burial in Highland Memorial Gardens. Rev.
Alan Head will be officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday,
September 30, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the church. The
family requests memorials be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist
