Kathryn L. Smitherman, 80, of Pleasant Grove, passed away February 6,
2015. She was a member of Fairfield Highland Baptist Church. She was
preceded in death by her husband Clayton Eugene Smitherman. She is
survived by her daughters Debra Crawford; Donna Mark (Ralph); and
Kathryn Chancellor (Ricky); sons Gary Smitherman (Debbie) and Richard
Smitherman (Paula); 9 granddaughters and 2 grandsons; numerous great
grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; brothers Paul Gilliland
and Leslie Gilliland; and sisters Nell Morris, Christine Foster,
Margaret Chandler, Linda Holmstrom, and Joyce Redding. The visitation
will be Monday, February 9, 2015, from 12:30 PM until 2:00 PM at
Peoples Chapel Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM at
the Funeral Home, with Bro. Ed Cruze officiating. Burial will follow at
Highland Memorial Gardens.
