YADKINVILLE - Katie Lee
Poindexter Bottoms, 57, of Yadkin Nursing Care Center, passed away
Wednesday, April 10, 2008, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical
Center. She was born in Yadkin County on March 29, 1951, to John
Clinton and Hazel Eagleson Poindexter. She was preceded in death by her
father, John Clinton Poindexter. Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Lee
Kelley of Bedford, Va., and Vickie Poindexter Mabe of Tobaccoville; a
son, Terry Smitherman of East Bend; her mother, Hazel Eagleson
Poindexter of Yadkin Nursing Care Center; a sister, Patsy Davis; and
eight grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday,
April 13, at Huff Funeral Home Chapel in East Bend. The family will
receive friends immediately after the memorial service Sunday, April 13.
