Funeral services for Kitty Sue
Smith, 68, Jemison, will be held at Union Springs Baptist Church on
Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Evie Megginson
officiating. Burial will follow at Union Springs Baptist
Cemetery, with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Smith was born on May 11, 1934, in Bibb County, the daughter of the late Charlie E. Smitherman and the late Thelma W. Smitherman. She was a homemaker.
She died on Aug. 18, 2002, at her residence.
Survivors include her husband, James Moody Smith, Jemison; two sons, Phillip Clay Smith and Rodney Clark Smith, both of Jemison; two daughters-in-law; Kathy Smith and Crystal Smith, both of Jemison; one grandson, Jordon Clay Smith, Jemison; one granddaughter, Kristen Elisabeth Smith, Jemison; three brothers, Harold Riffe, Shelby, Gerald Smitherman, Chelsea, Charles Smitherman, Maplesville; three sisters-in-law, Jewell Riffe, Shelby, Carolyn Smitherman, Chelsea, Betty Smitherman, Maplesville; three sisters, Inez Waldrop, Hazel Smitherman, Faye Nell Tillery, all of Randolph; one brother-in-law, Grady Smitherman, Randolph.
