Louise E. Smitherman, 72, of
Lodi, died June 25 in Lodi following a lengthy illness. She was born
Louise E. Blumerich on Feb. 26, 1933, in Rhinelander, Wis.
Mrs. Smitherman lived in Rosamond for 31 years and in Vancouver, Wash., for six years before settling in Lodi 20 years ago. She was employed as a medical transcriptionist.
She is survived by her sons, Steve Smitherman, of Liverpool, Pa., Jon Smitherman, of Vancouver, Wash.; daughter, Lisa Balash, of Galt; sister, Caryl Sturgeon, of Palmdale; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. July 8 at Galt Bible Church, 801 Church St., Galt, with Aaron Graves of IFCA officiating.
