Lula Mae Smitherman, 87, of Clanton, passed away Dec. 3.
She was born Aug. 9, 1927, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Floyd Dobbs and the late Carrie Smith Dobbs.
She was a laborer.
Surviving are her sons, Larry (Kathy) Smitherman of San Antonio, Texas, Jimmy Smitherman of Thorsby, Freddie (Lima) Smitherman of Clanton; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, a host of other family and friends; special niece, Mable Mitchell; special nephews, Harold Williams, Jimmy Dale Smitherman; special friends, Peggy, Wilma Jean, Charles and Diane.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Dec. 5, at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.
Services will be held Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Reeser officiating.
Interment will follow in Rehobeth Baptist Cemetery, Lawley.
