The remains of Mrs. W. M.
French, whose death occurred at the home of her sister, Miss Amelia
Smitherman, in Chattanooga Tuesday, were brought to Knoxville, arriving
on Southern Railway train No. 42 Wednesday afternoon.
Immediately after the arrival of the train, the funeral was conducted by Rev. O.R. Tarwater. Interment followed in Greenwood cemetery. The deceased is survived by her husband, a sister, Miss Amelia Smitherman, and two brothers, A.J. and M.C. Smitherman, of Chattanooga.
