Morgan County resident of 29 years died Sunday evening in Morgan County
Memorial Hospital after an illness of four months. Mrs Margaret
Smitherman of 155 West Washington Street, Mooresville, came here from
Henderson, Ky.
Born July 10, 1892 in Henderson to James and Ida Reed Overby, She later married Kerley Smitherman, who preceded her in death Dec 19, 1956.
Five daughters are listed as survivors. They are Mrs Mary E Kehrer, Mrs Addie B Taylor and Mrs Thelma Sarkine, all of Indianapolis; Mrs Lillie M Littrell, of Springfield, Ohio; and Mrs Myrle Spiece of Franklin. Other survivors include on brother, James Overby of Henderson, two sisters, Mrs Lula Sells and Mrs Mary Ambrose of Henderson, 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Carlisle and Son Chapel in Mooresville. Burial will follow in the Morresville Cemetery.
