Funeral
services for Margaret Ruth Malone, 84, of Temple will be held at 10:00
A.M. Friday at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home with Rev. Martin Knox
officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery in Waco Mrs. Malone died Tuesday in a Temple Hospital.
Mrs. Malone was born July 11, 1926 in Waco to Littleton Alexander Smitherman and Ellen Z. Harlan Smitherman. She married Truett Carlisle Malone July 12, 1952. He preceded her in death Feb. 20, 1996. She lived in Temple for over fifty years. Mrs. Malone graduated from Baylor University and taught school in Amarillo, Sugarland and Temple. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Malone was preceded in death by two sisters Essie Faye Smitherman and Dorothy Lois Smitherman Davis.
Survivors include one son David Malone of Temple and one daughter Janet Stokes and her husband Ken of Sachse.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. AT Scanio-Harper Fuenral Home.
