Martha Thornton Smitherman, 70, of Madison passed away Sunday.
Mrs. Smitherman is survived by her husband of 52 years, Bill Smitherman; daughters, Dana Branum and husband Scott of Huntsville, and Beth Hollingsworth and husband Randy of Madison; and grandchildren, Caitlin, Daniel, Stephanie and Harrison.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Valhalla Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Blakeney officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today. Burial will be at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, Martha would be honored with donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN, 38101-9929.
