mildred (smitherman) crumpton
Crumpton, Mildred Smitherman,
age 88, went home to be with her Lord Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Mrs.
Crumpton is survived by her daughters, Betty (Darrell) McGinnis and
Jackie (Danny) Frederick; grandchildren, Rev. Joel (Shannon) Frederick,
Julie (Neal) Fondren, Rev. Bryant (Ann) Frederick, Alex McGinnis, Aaron
McGinnis; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Nell Lightsey, Myra
Allgood, Marie Whitfield; numerous nephews and nieces, her friends at
the Woodstock Senior Center, and her friends in Bud's Bunch traveling
group. She was a resident of Antioch, Alabama prior to moving to
Woodstock in 1980. Mrs. Crumpton was a member of Grace Baptist Church
and also attended First Baptist Church Woodstock. Her faith was
demonstrated by her quiet, consistent walk, her servant's heart, and
her devotion to her family. Visitation will be Thursday, April 5, 2012
at First Baptist Church Woodstock from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a funeral
service at the church at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2012. Burial will
be in Antioch Baptist Cemetery, Centreville, AL. Memorial donations may
be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607-3000.
