PONTOTOC Miriam Clay Smitherman,
71, died Sunday, May 17, 1998, at the Pontotoc Hospital. She was a
retired LPN, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Pontotoc and
the Century Club.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with Bro. Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in Ecru City Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Ilacqua and Mary Doss, both of Pontotoc; two sons, Tracy Glen Smitherman of Memphis and Joe Smitherman of Safety Harbor, Fla.; six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Tracy Smitherman.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Doss, Brad Smitherman, Jake Britt, Jermey Doss, Brad Hamblin and Gene Freeman.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to service time Wednesday.
