HOBSON KING, NC Miriam Keith
Hobson May 26, 1924 - Feb. 21, 2013 Mrs. Miriam Keith Hobson, age 88,
of King, passed away on Thursday February 21, 2013 at Forsyth Medical
Center. Mrs. Hobson was born on May 26, 1924 in Selma, Alabama to the
late William Hugh Keith and Lilla Clyde Keith. Mrs. Hobson was a member
of Forbush Friends Meeting. In addition to her parents Mrs. Hobson was
preceded in death by her husband Vaudy Leo Hobson, a son Darrell Leo
Hobson, two brothers William Hugh Keith Jr., Harry Blair Keith, and two
sisters Mary Travis Charlton and Mildred Chandler. Those left to
cherish her memory are a daughter Judy Hill (Sam) of King, a daughter
in law Teresa Hobson of Boonville, four grandchildren Shonda Smitherman
(Maurice), Bryan Smitherman (Ashley), Rachel Amato (Gino), and Joshua
Hobson; eight great grandchildren Sailor Smitherman, Sidney Smitherman,
Sanabell Smitherman, Wyatt Smitherman, Yates Smitherman, Mikenna
Goodman, Jace Loman, and Alana Amato; three nieces Patricia Colley,
Betty Wolford, and Miriam Beardon, and one nephew William Eugene Keith.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hobson will be conducted on Sunday, February
24, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at Forbush Friends Meeting with the Rev. Daniel
Thames, Rev. Jake Penley, and Todd Cartner, minister officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive
friends from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at Forbush Friends
Meeting. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Forbush Friends
Meeting. Huff Funeral Home of East Bend is respectfully serving the
