Troy - May 10 - Mrs. A.W.E.
Capel passed away at her home here Tuesday night at 11:30 after an
illness of several years with paralysis. Mrs Capel was 64 years
of age at the time of her death. Before her marriage to Mr. Capel she
was Miss Nancy Smitherman, a daughter of the late Jesse Smitherman, one
of the first families of this place.
The deceased is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs. W.H. Watkins, of Ramseur, and the following children: Mrs. W.H. Covington, Miss Gertrude Capel and Leon Capel, of this place, and Clyde Capel of Candor.
The funeral services were conducted from the home this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and interment made in the Methodist cemetery. Rev J.W. Harrell, pastor of the deceased, conducted the services.
