YADKINVILLE - Mrs. Nancy Smitherman Miller, 65, of Turners Creek Road passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2004, at Hoots Memorial Hospital. She was born April 17, 1938, in Yadkin County to the late Hobart and Eva Hutchens Smitherman. She was a homemaker and a member of Turners Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Walter and Queen Lawson; and two brothers, Joe Smitherman and John Allen Smitherman.
Surviving are her husband of 45 years, Harvey G. Miller of the home; three children, Ricky Miller, Cathy (Jimmy) Snow and Linda (Gary) Salmons, all of Yadkinville; three grandchildren, Sabrina Snow, Steven Snow and Miranda Miller; a sister, Gladys (Everette "Buddy") Butner of Rural Hall; a brother, Donald (Olive Dale) Smitherman of East Bend; and a sister-in-law, Stacey Smitherman of East Bend.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 15, at the Gentry Family Chapel by the Rev. Bobby Russell and the Rev. Randy Johnson. Burial will follow in the Turners Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 this evening, Jan. 14, at Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville.
