NOLEN FLOYD SMITHERMAN born 5
May 1918 in Chilton Co., Al. to the late Herbie Columbus Smitherman and
Mary Ann Childress Smitherman, departed this life 4 June 1986. Burial
was 6 June 1986 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church # 1 Cemetery in
Chilton Co., AL. Mr. Smitherman served as a decon for many years at
Pleasant Grove #1 and also as song director. He retired from the US
Steel plant in Ensley, Al. in 1981. He had also worked for the road
department, and was a farmer. He had 7 brothers and 2 sisters. He was
proceeded in death by both his parents and one son E C SMITHERMAN, he
is survied by his wife EVIE MAYBELLE BRASWELL SMITHERMAN of Jemison,
one son FLOYD LEE SMITHERMAN, one daughter-in-law JOYCE MARIE SCOTT
SMITHERMAN both of Lawley, Al. Bibb Co., two daughters BRENDA
SMITHERMAN SMITH wife of Gary L., and MARGIE NELL SMITHERMAN MINOR, all
of Jemison, two grandsons SCOTTY LAWSON SMITH and DAVY LEE MINOR.
