OCIE “OLIAN” HAYWARD BALDWIN,
age 69 of Verbena passed away on April 23, 2016 at Shelby Baptist
Medical Center in Alabaster. He was born in Montgomery on April 1,
1947; the son of the late Luther William Baldwin and the late Ophelia
Strength.
He was a mechanic.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Brenda Baldwin of Verbena; Sons, Phillip (Lori) Smitherman of Verbena, Douglas (Sabrina) Smitherman of Verbena, Shane (Rena) Smitherman of Clanton, and Larry (Shirley) Smitherman of Clanton; 32 Grandchildren; 26 Great-grandchildren; and a brother, Thurmond Baldwin of Verbena.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Ophelia Baldwin; Brother, R.T. Baldwin; and a sister, Onita Myers.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at 2:00 pm from the Bethlehem Baptist Church West in Autauga County with the Ray Edwards officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the church.
