Ola Mae Smitherman, age 84, of Reform, departed this life on earth June 5, 2010, at                 .

Graveside services will be 4 p.m. today, June 6, 2010, at Graham Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Ralph Smith officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing.

Survivors include her son, Barry Smitherman and wife, Barbara of Gordo, Ala.; her sister, Frances Langford; her brothers, Ralph, Robert, and Calvin Pugh; two granddaughters, Dr. Tracy Smitherman Sullivan (Chris) and Kathy Fulgham (Dr. Scott Fulgham); seven great-grandchildren, Gracie Ruth Sullivan, Barrie Lee Sullivan, Scott Russel Fulgham II, Emma Blythe Fulgham, Chase Nicholas Fulgham, Elise Rose Fulgham, and Eva Marie Fulgham; and a special great-niece, Kendra Tilley.

Ola Mae was born October 25, 1925, in Pickens County, Alabama to the late Robert R. Pugh and Ellen Cabiness Pugh.

She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Mardis Eugene Smitherman on December 27, 1947. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1978. Ola Mae was a homemaker, a member of Stansel Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Start Rachel Chapter #145.

Honorary pallbearers are Dr. George Miller, Dr. Scott Fulgham, Dr. John Warren, Dr. Leonard Jones, Dr. Ross Vaughn, Dr. John Summerford, Dr. Donald Howe, and staff of Tuskaloosa Internal Medicine.
