1963 as Superintendent.
Preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Marian Blanche Smitherman.
Survivors: Sons, William Anthony Smitherman, Greece, William Joseph Smitherman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Phillips, Cypres, California, Mrs. Doriece Dreyer, Houston; 24 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Myrtle NOrthrip, Dallas, Mrs. Zola Suttle, Odessa, Mrs. Ludie D'lemia, Texarkana, Arkansas.
