Peggy Ann (smitherman) brantley
BRANTLEY, PEGGY ANN 61, of Jemison, passed from this walk of life on Saturday,
March 5, 2011. She was the epitome of a matriarch, the center stone of the
family. She will be overwhelmingly missed by all that had the honor to know and
love her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Dessie Mae
Smitherman. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Wayne; her sister, Judy
Brantley; her brother, Jeff Smitherman; her sons, Destry and Scotty Brantley;
her grandchildren, Fletcher and Marissa Brantley; along with her loving
daughter-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held Tuesday,
March 8, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Rockco Funeral Home Chapel Montevallo. Funeral
services will be held Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Shady Grove
Baptist Church, Randolph, AL with Pastor Kirk Smith officiating. Burial will
follow in the adjoining cemetery. She will lie- in- state one hour prior to the
service. Pallbearers will include Dane Brantley, Mike Roberson, Wade Burnett,
Kelly Smitherman, Tony Faucett, and Bennie Clay Smitherman. Rockco Funeral Home
