Wayne Smitherman entered into eternal rest August 17, 2019 at the age
of 73. He was born to Ressie and Willie Smitherman of Clanton, Alabama
on January 21,1946.Ray was a firefighter in Selma for 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Marc Smitherman and Jason Smitherman; his parents and his brothers, Gerold Smitherman and Erskin Smitherman.
He is survived by his son, Stephen Smitherman of Valley Grande, Alabama.
Ray was retired from the Selma Fire Department and was currently an employee with Warren Oil in Selma, Alabama.
